Coutts Expands to Upper North Shore

Sydney’s most acquisitive commercial Real Estate and Property Management agency, Coutts, continues to expand its footprint with the opening of its seventh full-service office at Hornsby.
Joining forces with Murray Byrnes and Janine Best of Camelle Real Estate, the new Hornsby office continues the expansion of the Coutts brand to Sydney’s upper north shore, following its 2023 opening at Chatswood and 2024 opening at North Sydney. The move capitalises on Coutts’ view that Hornsby offers the promise of significant growth for commercial real estate within both the Hornsby CBD and the neighbouring commercial and industrial zones off the back of the Minns government’s transport-oriented development plan and the excellent transport links between the Central Coast and other metropolitan Sydney markets, which have recently been enhanced with the opening of the North Connex tunnel connecting the M1 and M2 motorways.
Coutts is part of the wider Beaumont Property, which also comprises Beaumont Strata Management, Waratah Strata Management and Norwest Commercial & Industrial, making it one of Sydney’s largest independent groups with 3,000 properties under management, 800 strata and community titled lots, and employing over 160 staff across its network. The group wholly owns its subsidiaries and is owned by the Beaumont Family with a number of employee shareholders. Started in 1980 by Earle and Lynette Beaumont, it is now led by their son, Chief Executive Officer, Grant Beaumont.
Grant Beaumont said, “We are thrilled to welcome the Camelle team to the Coutts family. Expanding our physical footprint allows us to better serve our clients across Greater Sydney. Murray & Janine run a first class operation and we are immensely proud they chose us to partner with them for this next chapter.”
With over 60 years of experience, Coutts specialises in local knowledge in commercial, industrial, and retail property from sales and leasing to asset management. It operates a de-centralised model with local offices positioned to serve clients in the local markets.
“Our latest acquisition is a critical step in our ambitious growth strategy,” said Mr Beaumont, “we are proud to lead as the largest independent commercial agency in Sydney by footprint. We are excited to continue this growth with the recruitment of leading agents as well as welcome other agencies to our network. We are investing heavily in technology and people to best position us for the future”
The acquisition reflects a broader trend of strategic consolidation within the commercial real estate sector, with agencies expanding their service offerings and geographical spread as they find the competition for talent, the cost of technology, changing demographics and client demands key business challenges that need to be addressed to future proof their businesses.
